We recognize that all our young patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your child to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I enjoy talking with and getting to know our patients. They always have something interesting to tell me about their school, their adventures, and their friends. Chatting with a child during their visit helps them relax and feel safe. That makes them more open to learning about their oral health and taking control of their smile. I assist patients while they’re here: seating them in the chair and telling them what the doctor will be doing. I support and encourage them, too.
I don’t have any children, but I have a puppy, Shampoo. I enjoy all outdoor activities and complete competitively in Strongman. I recently bought a new house and am excited to make it a home.
I’m so excited to be a part of the Pediatric Dental Associates’ team! As one of our dental assistants, I explain to the children what is going to happen during their appointment, and do my best to keep them calm and happy. Kids have a lot of fun in our office, and I love it when they tell me stories and make me laugh. Everyone here is so encouraging and quick to share smiles whenever they’re needed!
I recently moved to Alaska from California, but I’m originally from Mexico. I like to go hiking, meet new people, and travel, but I also like to relax at home by watching TV and hanging out with my two dogs, Gauddie and Kusko.
I like helping our patients learn how to take care of their teeth. Sharing brushing and flossing tips that help them manage their oral care on their own is rewarding. I also enjoy learning what the patients are doing in school and other activities they are involved in. Our patients are enthusiatric and fun to work with.
I enjoy talking with our young patients. They are so honest … and you never know what they will say next! The rest of the team and I make sure every dental visit is a positive experience. We want to teach children that seeing the dentist is a good thing and nothing to worry about. I provide gentle, thorough cleanings to patients. While I’m doing so, I talk with the child about the mouth. I encourage everyone to develop good habits and keep their smile healthy.
I moved to Alaska from Carthage, NC, with my husband Kyler and three kids: Lucius, Addison, and Kiyah. I enjoy camping, canoeing, fishing, and hunting.
Patient Care Coordinator
My biggest goal is to ensure that each patient receives the best care from the first time they contact our office to the day they have graduated to a general dentist. This includes managing the staff, schedule, and the office as a whole. Working in dentistry comes very naturally to me—with a dentist for a father, my experience in dental offices began at a young age. He taught me so many things, but mostly, he showed me how important is was to treat people with compassion and kindness.
I came to Alaska in 1982 looking for adventure. My husband John and I have made Eagle River our home for the last 30 years. We have three children and four beautiful granddaughters. Our daughter and son live in Wasilla and another son in the Navy stationed in San Diego. I love living in Alaska and all it has to offer, especially the hiking and fishing. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and gardening in the summer.
